Job Summary
Operate and tend industrial sewing machines to join and reinforce materials while meeting hourly production goals. Adjust machine controls, reload products, and sort, fold, and stack materials. Sew missing stitches and replacement parts per repair instructions, ensuring finished products meet design, merchandising, and quality standards. Address quality control problems, perform preventative maintenance, and report defective materials or equipment. Adhere to safety guidelines, use personal protective equipment, and participate in cross-training opportunities. Sit for extended periods in a well-lit manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 -2 years' experience in similar role
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read instructions, understand and meet all guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Must meet hourly production goals
- Must adhere to established safety and efficiency standards
- Must be able to lift 10 - 50lbs
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must have close vision
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to reach with arms and hands
- Must be able to climb or balance
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must utilize personal protective equipment
- Must continuously adhere to safety guidelines
- Must be able to use hand and eye coordination
- Must be able to perform detailed and repetitious work
Desired Qualifications
