SEWING MANAGER

Job Summary
Oversee the sewing department at the Las Vegas facility, managing a large sewing staff to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality. Responsibilities include daily review of sewing projects, increasing production efficiencies, determining training actions for team members, conducting interviews and onboarding, performance reviews, collaborating with management on pay increases/bonuses, ensuring equipment maintenance and cleanliness, and researching new sewing technologies. Requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and experience with sewing equipment (single/double needle, serge, overlock, walking foot) and familiarity with large-format printing or digital graphics; experience with knit fabrics and Cronos machinery is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication and ability to work extra hours/weekends are needed.
Required Qualifications
- Production management experience
- Leadership of sewing department
- Understanding of sewing processes and techniques
- Experience with sewing equipment (single needle, double needle, serge, overlock, walking foot, Cronos)
- Ability to train new employees and provide input on performance
- Ability to interview prospective candidates and assimilate new hires
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Detail oriented and organized
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in large-format printing or digital graphics a plus
- Experience with knit fabrics a plus
- Ability to working extra hours and weekends if needed
