Job Summary
Sewing Machine Operator responsible for assembling panels and borders using various sewing machines (double overcaster, brother quilter, serger), sewing borders to panel cloth, producing mattress/box spring borders and covers, and overcasting fabric edges. Tasks include reading tickets, collecting materials, initialing tickets, operating sewing machines with foot lever/hand control, moving carts of borders/panels, sorting and stacking covers, and basic machine maintenance (re-threading, replacing needles). Must be able to read a ruler, perform basic arithmetic, and work in a neat, safe workstation. Requires a minimum of 18 years old and a high school diploma or GED; prior sewing experience in the textile industry is preferred. The role involves repetitive work and can involve moving up to 50 lbs; benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays, disability coverage, parental leave, and tuition assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- High School graduate or Equivalent GED
- Prior Sewing experience in sewing is required
- Prior Sewing experience in sewing /textile industry utilizing related machines is preferred
