Job Summary
Operate an industrial sewing machine within a locally owned company, utilizing an apprentice-style training program with experienced trainers. Perform primary sewing duties while occasionally assisting other departments as needed. Work a schedule from 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays from 5am to 10am and potential overtime. Earn a $10.00/hour base pay plus production bonuses based on piece work. Readability is required; all safety gear including Tyvek sleeves, caps, and glasses is provided, though closed-toe shoes are mandatory. No jewelry is permitted on the floor.
Required Qualifications
- Must know how to read
- Not afraid of machines
- Must be able to work 6am - 2:30 pm, M-F
- Must be able to work Some Saturdays (Usually 5am to 10am)
- Must be able to work Potential for Overtime
- Must be able to take 1⁄2 hour for lunch – two breaks (am and pm)
- Must be able to work in an environment where they may get dirty
- Must be able to wear All safety gear provided (Tyvek sleeves/caps to safety glasses, including masks)
- Must be able to wear closed toe shoes (steel toed shoes not required)
- Must be able to pass a Drug screen and background check
- Must be able to sign a disclaimer
