Job Summary
Select sewing equipment, set up machines and peripherals, and use tools correctly including scissors, knives, and measuring devices. Monitor machine operation by fixing attachments like needles, threads, and cutting blades. Inspect rendered products, sort textile parts by sequence and color match, and separate passed garments from defective ones for correction or disposal. Maintain records of processed orders. Work in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to fumes, moving parts, and vibration, lifting items weighing 5 to 65 pounds while sitting, standing, or bending for extended periods. This full-time role requires availability for additional hours and up to seven days a week as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be capable of sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, or walking for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work additional hours and up to seven days a week, as needed
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to work on sewing machines in a manufacturing environment
- Should have good organizational skills for sorting and cutting textile parts for joining
- Should have high hand dexterity to operate sewing machines
- Should have some interpersonal skills
- Should have initiative in getting the job done
