Job Summary
The Sewer will operate an industrial sewing machine to fabricate and repair synthetic slings and related assemblies, coordinating with the Production Manager to meet production schedules while upholding safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include fabricating and repairing slings, ensuring items meet Bishop Lifting Products’ quality standards, forwarding test samples to the Production Manager as required, maintaining a safe working environment, and performing additional duties as needed. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and passing background, drug, and pre-employment physical checks. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, with consideration given to equal opportunity employment practices.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a production environment
- Experience with industrial sewing equipment highly preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and pre-employment physical
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
