Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate sewer and watermain installation crews on active municipal job sites, managing daily workflow, equipment deployment, and resource allocation. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, safety protocols, and Ontario Provincial Standards while enforcing safety regulations and monitoring work quality against project plans. Communicate with project managers, estimators, and general contractors to resolve construction challenges proactively and maintain accurate daily reports. Train and mentor crew members in proper excavation and installation techniques, fostering a collaborative, safety-focused team culture. Lead by example with strong work ethic and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments. Valid Class G driver's license required; JHSC certification and confined space training are assets.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in sewer and watermain construction
- Minimum 2 years in supervisory or foreman role
- Proven track record leading crews on municipal infrastructure projects
- Valid Class G driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with GPS-guided equipment and modern construction technology
- JHSC certification or willingness to obtain
- First Aid/CPR
- Confined Space training
