Job Summary
Diagnose plumbing problems, repair water line leaks, and install, assemble, and maintain pipes and fixtures in residential properties. Use specialized tools to measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes; affix clamps, screws, and perform brazing, soldering, and welds. Operate a backhoe or excavator to install water and sewer lines, while working with contractors to assess client needs and plan layouts. Determine materials, estimate costs, and confirm systems are air/watertight through pressure tests. Keep detailed work reports documenting projects and collect fees for administration. Follow state laws, building codes, and company safety standards while ensuring quality installations on the first try.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program
- Proven experience as a Drain & Sewer Cleaner
- strong understanding of residential drain and sewer systems
- Proficiency in using drain cleaning equipment
- Proficiency in using video inspection tools
- Proficiency in using plumbing tools
- Knowledge of different pipe materials
- Knowledge of fittings
- Knowledge of fixtures commonly used in residential drainage systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- ability to diagnose and resolve complex drainage issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
