Job Summary
Greet members and guests warmly, build relationships by learning preferences, and present menus with knowledgeable recommendations. Take food and beverage orders accurately, enter them into the POS, and communicate dietary needs to the culinary team. Deliver food and beverages promptly, perform table check-ins, and coordinate with bussers and food runners. Serve alcohol in compliance with laws, verify guest age, and monitor consumption while maintaining current certification. Handle cash and credit transactions, process member charges, and complete end-of-shift checkouts accurately. Maintain a clean, organized dining room, reset tables, and assist with opening and closing sidework including restocking and polishing. Report concerns to the manager on duty and adhere to all sanitation and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to safely lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a high-volume environment
- Warm, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for hospitality and building lasting member relationships
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tables and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain composed, professional, and solutions-oriented under pressure
- High internal standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service
- Must be knowledgeable of and comply, at all times, with the club's standards, policies, and regulations
- Must maintain regular attendance in compliance with the club's scheduling requirements
- Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag while on duty
- Must consistently follow all sanitation-related requirements, including those related to personal hygiene and food handling
- Must report any safety concerns, accidents, or maintenance issues to the manager on duty immediately
Desired Qualifications
- Previous server or food and beverage experience
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, menu items, and basic wine and cocktail pairings
- Proficiency with POS systems
