Job Summary
Set up CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, and robots based on process specifications, modifying programs and adjusting calibrations to maintain tolerance levels. Analyze out-of-tolerance conditions, read CMM reports, and manage tool wear and changes using SPC data. Identify and prepare tooling, fixturing, and support tools while tracking equipment performance and production data. Provide direct supervision to operators, assist with troubleshooting, and train new technicians. This role requires a Machinist license and over four years of machine shop experience. Required Qualifications
- A Machinist license or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Greater than four years of Machine Shop experience
- Intermediate understanding of CNC programming
- Basic understanding of machine controls
- Knowledge of SPC methods, process and machine capability requirement and lot control techniques
- Ability to learn new specifications and procedures through on-the-job training and experience
- Receive training in first aid and the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)

- Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written forms to various levels within the organization
