Job Summary
Conduct initial startup on new production runs after mold sets are complete and perform daily rounds to verify waterlines, heaters, and drop bars are functioning correctly. Troubleshoot process issues, consult with tool designers for solutions, and execute minor mold maintenance and repairs including cavity and core changeovers. Stage molds and equipment for upcoming jobs, manage changeovers for secondary and degating operations, and accurately document all set-up records and processes. Operate a forklift as required, assist with machine adjustments, and maintain inventory of heater bands and mold clamps. Report equipment breakdowns immediately, adhere to safety practices, and be available to work overtime or assume temporary supervisory responsibilities during emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work overtime as needed
- Be available for early or late break
- Be qualified to assume supervisors responsibilities on a temporary basis
- Operator the forklift as required
- Have a good knowledge of all machines and their functions
- Perform all duties in a safe manner
- Adhere to all company policies regarding conduct, safety practices, and job performance
- Be available to work 2nd shift
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have color vision
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must have depth perception
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Pass a 6 panel drug screen with no THC
