Job Summary
Set up banquet functions and monitor assigned sections to ensure all patrons are served. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish areas before, during, and after events. Clear and lock banquet rooms at the close of functions and end of shifts. Store equipment in designated areas and maintain kitchen and wait stations. Prepare food according to recipes and assist in food production. Clear tables, reset counters, and stock assigned areas. Present menus, answer questions, and take food and beverage orders. Greets guests upon arrival and reports tips properly for tax processing.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to report potentially unsafe conditions
- Ability to use equipment and materials properly
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule
- Ability to be at work and on time
- Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
- Ability to work nights
- Ability to work weekends
