Job Summary
Set up banquet functions and monitor assigned sections to ensure all patrons are served. Vacuum, sweep, mop, polish, and wipe areas clean before, during, and after events. Maintain banquet areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition while clearing and locking rooms at the close of functions. Greets guests upon arrival, answers questions, takes orders, and resets counters and tables. Cooks or prepares food according to recipes and assists in food production. Store all equipment in designated areas and ensure tips are reported properly for tax processing. Adhere to safety, security, and company policies while maintaining hotel standards for food and beverage service.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to report potentially unsafe conditions
- Ability to use equipment and materials properly
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule
- Ability to be at work and on time
- Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
