Job Summary
Evaluate existing data infrastructure, including LAN topologies, IP addressing plans, and protocol configurations. Support integration of routers, switches, voice, video, and VoIP solutions across the Air National Guard enterprise. Configure network addressing, troubleshoot physical and virtual networks, and maintain hardware/software in accordance with DISA STIGs. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve problems, establish priorities, and coordinate technical solutions to meet operational deadlines. Assist in developing architectural design recommendations and maintaining network diagrams and documentation. Requires a Secret clearance and must possess licenses for NIPR and SIPRNet.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a relevant field / Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of network hardware/software and telecommunications
- Must possess all required licenses for operating NIPR and SIPRNet
- IAM II or III certification based on job duties and access levels at ANG NOS McConnell
- Security Clearance: Secret
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of network engineering principles, including LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP protocols, and network security practices
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and PKI services
- Knowledge of VMware environments and the ability to troubleshoot ESXi and vCenter issues
- Experience with SAN/vSAN storage configuration and troubleshooting on an ESXi host
- Ability to develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, installation procedures, and troubleshooting guides
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of IT professionals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions in a timely manner
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
