Job Summary
Set-Up Technician responsible for setting up and starting up machines on the production floor, performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and providing staff training. Responsibilities include press set-up and start-up, barrel and cold deck cleaning, improving product quality, molding samples, assisting Engineers with process documentation and improvements, ensuring traceability, and coordinating with cross-functional teams (laboratory, quality, manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing) to complete assignments. Requires knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 14971, strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 2nd shift. Plymouth, MN site. Indoor environment with exposure to chemicals; physical demands include lifting and standing, travel not specified.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of experience as a machine operator
- Demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility within a silicone molding operation
- Knowledge of medical component manufacturing preferred
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Team Player
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills, with ability to multitask and plan activities for multiple projects
- Ability to Schedule, coordinate and keep manufacturing projects and documentation up to date and on track
- Knowledge/Training to ISO 13485(current), Medical Devices QM System
- Knowledge/Training to ISO 14971(current}, Risk Management
- Professional, courteous, and friendly personality
- Working knowledge of English (verbal and written)
