Job Summary
Set-Up Technician supports the Injection Molding Process Technician with molds, completing setups, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of injection mold equipment. Responsibilities include responding to machine alarms, ensuring hoppers are filled, performing line clearance at the end of runs, draining and replenishing resin, setting up auxiliary equipment, performing mold changes and restarts, and assisting the process technician as needed. Requires ability to plan and prioritize work for productive use of time, remain professional under pressure, and adapt to overtime as needed. The role emphasizes understanding plastics/material characteristics, strong communication, multitasking, and safety compliance (including PPE and steel-toed shoes).
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must understand plastics and different material characteristics
- Good communication and multitask ability
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated
- Good problem-solving skills
- Overtime availability on short notice (paid)
