Set-Up Technician

Job Summary
Assemble tooling and verify functionality while adjusting modifications to fit customer parts. Operate customer-supplied equipment including gauges and leak testers, then set up and commission manual cells, robotic cells, and custom machinery. Program multiple robot brands and develop welds via manual or robotic methods, followed by quality testing and cut verification. Collaborate with internal departments to create solutions, manage several projects simultaneously, and build relationships with vendors and customers. Maintain a flexible schedule to cover daily tasks, runoffs, and service trips across North America, including travel to Canada and Mexico.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Machine Shop Technology or a minimum of two years' machine shop experience
- Strong mechanical background
- Robotic background
- Electrical background
- Standing for extended periods
- Lifting of equipment and/or tooling weighting up to 40lbs
- Working a minimum of 40 hours per week
- 50-55 hours when workloads exist
- Travel throughout North America is required via automobile and air travel
- Canada and Mexico up to but not limited to 60 days a year once established in the department
