Set-Up Technician - 12- Hour Rotating Continental Shifts

Job Summary
Set-Up Technician responsible for setting up and starting up injection moulding machines, troubleshooting processes, and supporting production efficiency while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key duties include setting up and starting moulding machines, completing mould and insert changes, troubleshooting quality issues (flash, long gates, warping, witness marks, cloudiness), communicating mould/machine problems to the Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Technicians, maintaining and storing moulds/ inserts, and assisting the Shift Supervisors with training, incident investigations, and root-cause actions. Requires strong problem-solving, communication, and technical skills, with 5 years of injection moulding experience, pneumatics/hydraulics knowledge, and crane/forklift certification. Must communicate effectively in English, and be able to work 12-hour rotating continental shifts; education-aligned preference for High School Graduate and vocational training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Vocational school an asset
- 5 years minimum of technical experience in injection moulding
- Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Basic tooling background an asset
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and produce results
- Crane, and forklift certification required
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have full range of motion
- Must be able to sit, stand/walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to bend, twist and lift up to 30lbs
- Able to work 12 hour rotating continental shifts
