Job Summary
Lead the set-up process for tooling used in vinyl siding extrusion, including preparing tooling for changeovers between products and colors (PVC to ASA or ASA to PVC). Responsibilities include ensuring tooling is ready for changeovers, returning tooling to maintenance, oiling and inspecting tooling, tagging tooling needing repair, identifying process improvements to run the extrusion line, communicating effectively to address issues with the extrusion line, and supporting the machine operators. May perform operator duties when short-staffed, participate in operator training, and comply with all health and safety policies. Shift is a 12-hour Continental schedule with shift premium and incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work 12 hour Continental shift
- Demonstrate competence in machine operator / setup role
- Able to set up tooling and changeovers (products/colors)
- Good communication skills
- Team player, strong interpersonal skills
- Follow health and safety policies
- Be involved with operator training program
- Ability to assist machine operators when short-staffed
