SET-UP MECHANIC (7:00pm-7:00am; 4 days on, 4 days off)

Set-up Mechanic sets up and maintains blanker presses and associated equipment at Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. in Massillon, Ohio. Responsibilities include changing, removing, dismantling, repairing, assembling, installing and adjusting equipment such as dies, punches, rolls, curlers, liner, conveyor, and related components; troubleshooting and correcting problem areas; performing preventive maintenance and lubrication; loading machines with stock and keeping presses running; inspecting cans, lids and tab assemblies for specifications using dial indicators, ring gauges, micrometers, and pin gauges; assisting Packer Operator, completing production logs and QA checks, and complying with safety, quality, and plant policies. Preferred qualifications include 3–5 years in manufacturing with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or electrical troubleshooting, and basic computer skills. The role requires standing, walking, manipulating objects, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with shifts primarily in a 7:00pm–7:00am schedule on a 4 days on/4 days off rotation; work environment includes a plant setting with exposure to moving parts and variable temperatures, tobacco-free facility, and opportunities for professional development.
