Job Summary
The Set-Up Mechanic will operate and maintain machinery in the Akron facility during 2nd shift (Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM). Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and setups while adhering to safety protocols. Candidates must have mechanical skills, ability to lift heavy objects, and the capacity to work in varying conditions. Valid forklift certification and tool knowledge are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Proficient in reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Capability to work in varying environmental temperatures
- Experience with maintenance tools and equipment operation
- Physically able to pass respirator medical evaluation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance and repairs of machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of electrical techniques
- Ability to operate production equipment
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work regular shift and overtime as needed
- Required to dress in long pants and sleeved shirts
