Job Summary
Teach stimulating, effective sessions to international students preparing for undergraduate programmes at UWE Bristol International College. Plan, facilitate, and review engaging learning experiences that enable all students to achieve and flourish, utilizing digital technologies including AI to enhance assessment and student engagement. Develop innovative learning materials that support active, inclusive, and engaging instruction while demonstrating empathy for students in transition to UK Higher Education. This part-time, fixed-term role runs until December 2026 at a rate of £40.51 per hour. Candidates must bring post-16 teaching experience, and a recognised teaching qualification is an advantage.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of teaching post-16 students
- A student-centred approach
- The ability to plan, facilitate and review engaging learning experiences that enable all students to achieve and flourish
- Empathy and understanding of the needs of international students in transition to studying Higher Education in the UK
- Demonstrable experience of using digital technologies, including AI, to enhance learning, assessment and student engagement
- A willingness to embrace innovation
- The ability to develop and continually enhance innovative learning materials that support active, inclusive and engaging learning
- A postgraduate qualification
- A strong first degree
- Relevant professional experience
