Job Summary

Deliver stimulating, effective teaching to international students preparing for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at foundation level. Plan, facilitate, and review engaging learning experiences that enable all students to achieve and flourish, with a focus on Creative Practice, Portfolio, and Visual Culture modules. Support learners from diverse educational backgrounds using digital technologies, including AI, to enhance learning and assessment. Develop and continually enhance innovative learning materials that support active, inclusive, and engaging instruction. This sessional role is part-time, fixed-term until December 2026, with a salary of £40.51 per hour. Candidates require experience teaching post-16 students, and a recognised teaching qualification is an advantage. The college offers a state-of-the-art environment next to Borough Market, two minutes from London Bridge station.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience of teaching post-16 students
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • A student-centred approach
  • The ability to plan, facilitate and review engaging learning experiences
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of international students in transition to studying Higher Education in the UK
  • Demonstrable experience of using digital technologies, including AI, to enhance learning, assessment and student engagement
  • A willingness to embrace innovation
  • The ability to develop and continually enhance innovative learning materials
  • A postgraduate qualification
  • A strong first degree
  • Relevant professional experience
  • Enhanced Disclosure (including children's barred list) via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • A Prohibition from Teaching Check completed through the Teaching Regulation Agency
