Job Summary
Preparation and delivery of course material, preparation and delivery of assignments, tests and/or exams; supervision of teaching assistants (including providing instruction on how to mark and holding office hours); marking of students’ work; submission of grades; and holding regular office hours. In-person delivery is required with potential advance notice if changes occur. Experience with teaching excellence, mastery of the subject area, and familiarity with course-management tools (Quercus, Canvas, Zoom) are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A Ph.D. or PsyD (completed or ABD with active student status at issuing institution) in Psychology or a closely related field, or a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a minimum of 5 years’ experience conducting forensic casework.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional College membership or registration with a counselling Association
- experience acting as an expert witness in a Canadian court of law
- post-graduate counselling experience in a forensic science context
- teaching excellence and mastery of the subject area
- experience with management and delivery of courses using University of Toronto or similar systems (Quercus, Canvas, Zoom)
