Job Summary
Prepare, organize, and teach this graduate course in Music Education for students in grades 4 to 10; responsibilities include teaching the graduate course, assisting students between classes, evaluating and providing feedback on student work, and attending pre-course planning and MT instructor meetings; requires demonstrating currency/mastery in subject matter, excellence in teaching (including online delivery), and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion; preference given to qualified individuals advanced to Sessional Lecturer II or III per CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement; postdoctoral students and others covered by different CUPE units are not to apply under Unit 3; apply with a CV and referees in a letter of application
Required Qualifications
- Candidates: 1. Should possess a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
- 2. Must demonstrate currency and mastery in the course subject matter
- 3. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching, including online teaching as relevant
- 4. Must demonstrate evidence of knowledge and practice of principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion
- 5. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and leading teachers/teacher-candidates' professional learning
- 6. An Ontario Teaching certificate is an asset
