Job Summary
Deliver in-person lectures on campus for CSC265H1F, manage TA coordination and course administration (including syllabus, marking schemes, assessments, and TA breakdown of hours), supervise TA activities and grading, invigilate term tests and final exams, ensure timely posting of grades and feedback, and collaborate with department Teaching Support when designing the course. The role requires preparation and delivery of lectures, maintaining the course website, and providing office hours/communication with students; adherence to the faculty’s content/style guidelines and approval for substantial course changes, with expectations aligned to CUPE 3902 Unit 3 guidelines. Prior teaching experience at university level and demonstrated excellence in teaching are preferred; experience leading technology-sector organizations and building industry-academic partnerships is also preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Computer Science or closely related field required
- Demonstrated expertise in topic area of the course required
- Teaching experience at the university level or equivalent industry level required
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required
