Job Summary
The SES Instructional Assistant II - Preschool assists a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups, primarily to students with disabilities. Responsibilities include tutoring students, maintaining records of progress, participating in instructional teams, preparing lessons, administering tests, and supporting students physically and emotionally. The position requires knowledge of basic subjects taught in schools, safe practices in classroom activities, and effective communication skills. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have experience working with children.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 48 college credit hours or a passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment
- High school diploma or GED Certificate
- One year experience working with children in an organized setting
