Services Support Worker – Surrey - Permanent

Job Summary

Provide one-to-one and group support to deaf and deafblind individuals in Surrey, focusing on developing their skills for independent living. Deliver person-centred assistance using British Sign Language (BSL) or specialist communication systems, with Level 1 proficiency required and Level 2 desirable. Maintain a safe, fulfilled environment for clients with additional support needs such as learning disabilities or mental health challenges. Work 16 hours weekly as a permanent employee earning £26,227.50 FTE, with flexible sessional options available for skill development. Own a car for travel duties and demonstrate a positive, flexible approach within the Independent Living team.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have an understanding of deaf culture
  • Be a car owner/driver
  • British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1
  • Must complete the application form fully and accurately
