Job Summary
Manage all Valve Repair and machining activities at the facility, overseeing scheduling, engineering, budgets, production, material control, and purchasing while ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety procedures. Assign work to personnel, set schedules, and inspect performance to maximize efficiency and on-time shipments. Direct supervision of production staff, including lead hands and machinists, while enforcing National Board certifications and safety protocols. Develop production goals, track job progress, and implement quality control procedures to meet regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate timelines and evaluate equipment needs to optimize operations.
Required Qualifications
- General knowledge valve repair/machining equipment, modern shop technology, equipment, practices and procedures
- Valve Repair experience – familiarity with production planning and scheduling
- Knowledge and experience in NBIC regulatory requirements and safety practices
- Shop, personnel, and project management experience
- Ability to implement and adhere to strict schedules, timelines, and budgets
- Highly organized and able to multi-task effectively, make quick decisions, and efficiently organize others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and put in additional hours to meet deadlines and schedules
- Ability to organize, coordinate, supervise and monitor the performance of Valve Repair personnel
- Ability to instruct or train staff in specific operating and technical work methods or procedures
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to manage a diverse group of people and motivate staff to work together as one team
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites programs
- Knowledge and extensive experience with MS Office Products including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and MS Project Manager
- The ability to create positive energy in both individuals and groups
- Able to organize or schedule multiple tasks, people, or services; develop realistic action plans while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability
- The ability to modify one's own behavior style to respond to the needs of others while maintaining one's own objectives
