Job Summary
Provide assessment, case management, and intervention services to offenders and remandees in correctional settings. Deliver evidence-based programs and targeted interventions addressing criminogenic needs, promoting behavioural change and successful reintegration. Responsibilities include intake screening, development and review of individualised case plans, group-based program delivery, crisis intervention, and collaboration with custodial staff and external services. Requires strong understanding of offender rehabilitation, experience with complex welfare and drug/mental health needs, and effective communication and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, mental health, or related human services field, or equivalent experience.
- Completion of, or willingness to undertake, Certificate IV in Correctional Practice within required timeframes.
- Current driver licence with the ability to travel across NSW as required.
