Job Summary
Design scoped applications, build REST APIs, and configure Flow Designer workflows using Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Policies. Manage ACL security architecture, develop Service Portal widgets with AngularJS, and orchestrate bulk data ingestion via Import Sets and Transform Maps. Deploy MID Server integrations, author ATF test suites, and execute update set discipline across dev, test, and production environments. Deliver full-cycle custom app builds aligned with CSA and CAD certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience with custom application development and integration flows
- 5+ years on the ServiceNow platform with hands-on development across multiple releases
- Deep expertise in scoped application development — design, packaging, and lifecycle management
- Store-ready or internal app delivery experience
- Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies — both synchronous and async patterns
- GlideRecord, GlideSystem, GlideAjax, GlideAggregate — fluent across all major server-side APIs
- Flow Designer and legacy Workflow Engine — build, debug, and migrate
- ACL design and security architecture — table, field, and record-level control
- Scripted REST APIs — design and expose ServiceNow data as REST endpoints
- REST/SOAP outbound integrations — MID Server, direct HTTP, and IntegrationHub spokes
- IntegrationHub — custom spoke development, action design, and step configurations
- Import Sets and Transform Maps for bulk data ingestion and field mapping
- MID Server architecture — deployment, troubleshooting, ECC queue management
- CSA + CAD certifications — minimum baseline
- Demonstrated delivery of at least 2 full-cycle custom app builds from requirements to production
Desired Qualifications
- Store-ready or internal app delivery experience preferred
- SAP JCo or JDBC connector experience a strong plus
- OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API key authentication patterns for inbound and outbound flows
- Service Portal widget development — full stack: server script, client controller, HTML, SCSS
- AngularJS (1.x) — $scope, $http, custom directives, $sp service
- Service Catalog configuration — variable sets, catalog client scripts, UI policies
- UI Builder and Next Experience (Polaris) — workspace and page composition
- Source control with ServiceNow Studio — Git-backed app development and branching strategy
- ATF (Automated Test Framework) — suite authoring and CI pipeline integration
- Update Set discipline — scoped change packaging, collision resolution, and environment promotion
- Instance Strategy — sub-production environment management (dev / test / prod)
- CIS-ITSM, CIS-HR, or domain-specific certifications aligned to implementation scope — preferred
- Experience across ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, or SecOps modules depending on org focus
