Job Summary

Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows to automate IT service management processes. Build and maintain components including business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Flow Designer workflows, and integrations using REST/SOAP APIs. Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, support process improvement initiatives, and optimize service delivery. Conduct unit and system testing, participate in user acceptance testing, and ensure solutions meet quality and security standards. Develop technical documentation, debug production environments, and coordinate with ServiceNow Support to resolve defects. Maintain on-premises environments through updates and patches while adhering to established development standards and SDLC processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
  • Experience working within Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including: ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, CSM (or similar modules)
  • Proficiency in: JavaScript
  • Proficiency in: Glide API (GlideRecord, GlideSystem, etc.)
  • Proficiency in: ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, Service Portal
  • Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server)
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow security model and access controls
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles and IT service management best practices
  • Understanding SDLC and secure development practices
  • At least one active ServiceNow certification: Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical deliverables
  • Effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and maintainability
  • US citizenship
