Job Summary
Service Writer role in Winslow, ME focusing on delivering an exceptional customer experience by consulting with customers on vehicle conditions, educating them based on MPI inspections, and coordinating with the Service Manager to ensure VIP processes and standards are met. Responsibilities include adhering to safety policies, communicating with the team, managing service desk activities, coordinating work orders to technicians, completing required LMS and vendor trainings, obtaining and maintaining ASE and related certifications, and supporting the store’s 5 for 5 process to educate customers on vehicle conditions and solutions. Standard schedule is 5 days a week, 40 hours, with an emphasis on safety, technical knowledge, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
