Job Summary
Service Writer role at VIP location in Windham, ME focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience by consulting with customers about vehicle conditions based on MPI inspection results, educating them on VIP processes, and driving VIP programs to achieve high SAX scores. The role requires learning and executing VIP processes, completing LMS and vendor trainings, obtaining BATS, TPMS, and ASE certifications, and effectively communicating with the service team. Responsibilities include coordinating work orders, dispatching to technicians based on availability, maintaining a safe and organized service area, ensuring compliance with codes and procedures, and participating in regular meetings and trainings. The position supports a standard 5-day, 40-hour work week with hourly pay, and requires strong communication, organization, automotive servicing knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
