Job Summary
Service Writer with automotive service background responsible for consulting with customers about vehicle conditions, educating them on VIP processes, driving VIP program execution, and delivering a superior customer experience. Must coordinate with the service team, participate in LMS and vendor trainings, obtain ASE certifications (C1 required; P2 and G1 recommended), maintain safety and regulatory compliance, and manage communication, scheduling, and work orders to support efficient service delivery. Training includes BATS TPMS certifications and ongoing participation in store meetings and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of a two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- High level of verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry
