Job Summary
Service Writer role in Shelburne, VT focusing on delivering VIP customer experiences through vehicle condition education, MPI inspections, and coordination with the service team. Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, engaging customers, supporting shop throughput via dispatching work orders, achieving SAX-driven performance targets, participating in LMS and vendor trainings, obtaining and maintaining ASE, TPMS, and BATS certifications, and communicating effectively with team members and management. The position requires compliance with the service code of ethics, facility and equipment maintenance, and participation in regular meetings and trainings; standard schedule is 5 days per week, 40 hours, with an emphasis on accurate communication, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
