Job Summary
Service Writer position in Sanford, ME focused on delivering a high-quality customer experience by consulting with customers about their vehicle’s condition, educating them on VIP processes, and coordinating with the service team to ensure effective communication and execution. Responsibilities include adhering to safety policies, training through LMS and vendor programs, becoming T.I.A. BATS and TPMS certified, pursuing ASE certifications, communicating with the team through daily huddles and store meetings, and managing work orders and recommendations to customers. The role requires strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, automotive servicing knowledge, and adherence to the service code of ethics and applicable regulations. The standard work week is 5 days and 40 hours, with a focus on delivering VIP standards and customer satisfaction in a busy service environment.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
