Job Summary
Service Writer responsible for educating customers about vehicle conditions and VIP processes, coordinating with the Service Manager to deliver a high-quality customer experience, and supporting the team in achieving VIP standards. Requires advising customers on vehicle conditions based on mileage and MPI results, maintaining safety and cleanliness of the service area, coordinating work orders and technician assignments (first-available technician approach), completing LMS and vendor trainings, attaining BATS and TPMS certifications, ASE credentials, and participating in regular team communications and store-wide meetings. Standard schedule is a 5-day workweek at 40 hours with a focus on safety, compliance with applicable codes, and continuous customer engagement through VIP programs and Sax performance measures.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
