Job Summary
Service Writer in Portsmouth, NH responsible for consulting with customers, educating them about vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, and delivering a superior customer experience. Collaborates to achieve VIP program standards and Sax score targets, participates in LMS and vendor training, and earns industry certifications (BATS, TPMS, ASE). Maintains communication with the service team, supports daily dispatching of work orders, and upholds safety and ethical service practices in a busy automotive service department. Requires strong verbal/written communication, organizational skills, automotive knowledge, and a valid driver's license. Standard schedule is five days with 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
