Job Summary
Service Writer acts as the intermediary between customers and branch staff to create and review work orders, review repair orders for accuracy, process part and labor invoices, assist in scheduling service work, keep the service manager informed on all work orders, assist with warranties, and ensure customer satisfaction. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years of experience in a service writer/parts/service role, strong communication skills, familiarity with agricultural and/or construction equipment a plus, proficiency in Excel/Outlook/Word, and a self-starter with attention to detail and teamwork. Must be comfortable dealing with the public and able to lift 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience in a Service Writer position and/or service or parts department
- Great communication skills
- Familiarity with agricultural and/or construction equipment is a plus
- Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Self-starter with attention to detail, strong organization, and is goal-oriented
- Comfortable dealing with the public
- Strong team player
- Able to lift 25 pounds
