Job Summary
The Service Writer will serve customers by consulting with them and educating them about the condition of their vehicle based on MPI results, coordinating with technicians, and delivering an exceptional customer experience to meet VIP standards. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to learn VIP processes, safety policies, and the essential duties listed. The position involves scheduling and dispatch coordination, participating in LMS and vendor trainings, pursuing ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1), BATS and TPMS certification, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and contributing to achieving VIP SAX scores and service-execution goals. A valid driver’s license is required, with a recommended two-year college or technical school program and related automotive service experience. The standard work week is 5 days, 40 hours, with exposure to a service department environment and routine safety/compliance responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
