Job Summary
The Service Writer supports the VIP automotive service team's mission by consulting with customers, educating them about vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, and helping deliver a differentiated customer experience. Responsibilities include achieving strong customer engagement and SAX scores, completing LMS and vendor training, pursuing ASE/BATS/TPMS certifications, effectively communicating with teammates, and assisting in the dispatch of work orders to technicians while maintaining safety, facility conditions, and adherence to service standards. The role requires collaboration with the Service Manager and participation in store meetings, with a standard 5-day, 40-hour work week, and is based in Marshfield, MA at the service location.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
