Job Summary
Service Writer in Manchester, CT, hourly, non-exempt role reporting to Service Manager. Responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience by consulting with customers, educating them on vehicle conditions per MPI inspection, executing VIP processes, and supporting team communication. Requires ASE C1 certification and ASE G1/P2 recommendations, a CT driver’s license, and ongoing LMS training. Duties include coordinating work orders, dispatching to technicians, maintaining a clean and safe service area, participating in safety training, and contributing to VIP program execution and SAX performance. Standard schedule is five days per week and 40 hours, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and customer engagement.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
