Job Summary
Service Writer at VIP in Lewiston, ME, responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by consulting with customers on vehicle conditions, educating them on diagnostics and VIP process standards, coordinating with technicians to assign and track service work, and ensuring safety and compliance. The role emphasizes effective communication, teamwork, training on LMS content and certifications (including BATS, TPMS, ASE), adherence to VIP codes of ethics, management of service desk operations, and participating in ongoing store meetings to support performance targets (SAX) and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry
