Job Summary
Service Writer at VIP dealership in Lawrence, MA focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience by consulting with customers about vehicle conditions, educating them on repairs based on MPI results, and aligning with VIP processes to achieve high SAX scores. Responsibilities include safety compliance, coordinating with the Service Manager and technicians, completing LMS and vendor trainings, obtaining and maintaining ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1), dispatching work orders to the first qualified technician, maintaining a clean and compliant service area, and participating in regular meetings and training. Strong communication, organization, and automotive servicing knowledge are essential; a valid driver’s license and relevant ASE and inspection certifications are required.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
