Job Summary
Service Writer responsible for communicating with customers about their vehicle's condition, educating them on MPI inspection results, and guiding the service process to deliver a superior customer experience. Collaborates with technicians to coordinate diagnostics, repairs, and vehicle status, while upholding VIP processes, safety policies, and professional standards. Drives customer engagement and satisfaction through effective communication, training, and adherence to service procedures. Must maintain the service desk, participate in LMS and vendor trainings, and support the team in achieving VIP SAX scores and overall store performance. Requires automotive servicing knowledge, strong verbal and written communication, organization, time management, and ability to work within a team in a non-exempt hourly role.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
