Job Summary
Service Writer in Gorham, ME, reporting to Service Manager, non-exempt hourly position. Responsible for consulting with customers, educating them about vehicle conditions based on MPI results, and delivering VIP customer experiences. Duties include following VIP processes to educate customers, executing LMS and vendor trainings, obtaining BATS, TPMS, and ASE certifications, coordinating with technicians via dispatching work orders, maintaining a clean and safe service environment, participating in daily huddles and store meetings, and upholding the service Code of Ethics while complying with municipal/state/federal regulations. Standard schedule is 5 days and 40 hours per week, requiring strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with an emphasis on teamwork and safety.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
