Job Summary
Service Writer role focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience within VIP automotive service programs. Responsibilities include consulting with customers to explain vehicle conditions based on MPI inspections, educating customers per VIP processes, achieving strong customer engagement as measured by SAX scores, coordinating with technicians to assign work orders, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and completing required and vendor trainings including LMS, BATS TPMS certifications, ASE certifications, and ongoing communications with store teams. The position requires strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of automotive servicing. Standard schedule is 5 days/week, 40 hours, with hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
