Job Summary
Service Writer at VIP Auto in Ellsworth, ME collaborates with the Service Manager to deliver an exceptional customer experience by consulting with customers about their vehicle conditions, educating them on VIP processes, and guiding service execution. The role supports team communication, safety adherence, and VIP program standards, aims to achieve high customer engagement scores (SAX), participates in LMS and vendor trainings, and pursues ASE, TPMS, and BATS certifications while coordinating the dispatch of work orders and maintaining a clean, compliant service environment.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Understanding of automotive servicing and the industry
