Job Summary
Listen to customer symptom descriptions to identify problems and service vehicles. Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records, then develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor. Contact fleet management companies for authorization, prepare repair orders with required signatures, and enter data into the service database. Assist with scheduling work for Service Technicians, communicate with the parts department for part numbers, and process invoices and payments. Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates, arranging towing, and calling customers to notify them when equipment is ready for pickup.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Professional personal appearance
- Extremely detail oriented and accurate
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and adapt to changing work priorities
- Must be self-sufficient and driven, meeting deadlines and schedules
- General aptitude in working with common computer software (MS Office Suite, internet, etc.) to process orders
- Knowledge of inventory software (M3, etc.) to process repair orders
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- A positive attitude and willingness to maintain a professional demeanor with clients and team members is essential to this position
- Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of aerial vehicles, equipment and heavy & light duty trucks a preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role
